Creating Change
Where It’s Needed Most

Through the Mayo Family Foundation, the foundation transforms compassion into action — empowering at-risk youth, advancing women’s rights, and restoring dignity to communities worldwide.

OUR MISSION

At the heart of everything I do is one belief: real change starts with showing up.

The Mayo Family Foundation was created to meet urgent human needs — food insecurities, at-risk youth, women’s equality issues, and the democratization of healthcare — with practical, lasting solutions. We partner with organizations worldwide to turn empathy into measurable impact, focusing on youth empowerment, women’s rights, and global humanitarian response.

Empowering the Cochise County Border Region

Mayo Global and its affiliated companies are proud to invest in sustainable, community-centered solutions along the U.S.-Mexico border. With a strong presence in Douglas and Sierra Vista, we are working hand-in-hand with local leaders to drive economic opportunity, education, public health, and innovation across the region.

Investing in Youth & Community Mental Health

Mental Health Support: Funded the CARE Team in Sierra Vista, delivering critical mental health services to families and individuals in need.

Youth Empowerment: Provided seed funding to launch a Boys &

Girls Club in Douglas, creating a safe and enriching space for the region’s youth.

Cybersecurity Access for All

Through a Cooperative Agreement with Cochise County, GMI offers discounted, enterprise-grade IT & cybersecurity services to all local businesses—helping to protect and grow the region’s digital infrastructure.

Bringing Jobs to Douglas

We are hiring up to 100 bilingual call center agents in Douglas in 2025—providing stable, meaningful employment and investing in workforce development.

Cross-Border Innovation in Health & Wellness

Our innovative wearable devices are manufactured in Agua Prieta and distributed through a dedicated logistics hub in Douglas, blending cross-border commerce with community-based production.

Philanthropy isn’t limited by geography or category.

Whether advancing sports as a platform for inclusion through Sunny Day Sports, or collaborating with medical research centers like WearTech, my goal is to connect people, ideas, and innovation to create sustainable impact.

Change happens when business and compassion work together.

We invite you to learn more about the girls’ personal stories and journeys to a new world.

GET INVOLVED

Together, we can turn empathy into impact.

Your support helps expand access to education, healthcare, and opportunity for those who need it most.

Building a Kinder,
Stronger World — Together

The Mayo Family Foundation is proof that compassion can move mountains. Whether through youth programs, global relief efforts, or community development, our purpose remains the same:

To create lasting change for those who need it most.

Kindness has a way of bringing people together—it inspires compassion, builds stronger connections, and lifts spirits.

Our Programs

Empowering At-Risk Youth

Every child deserves a future filled with opportunity.

Through programs like Keys to Success and the Foster Siblings Summer Camp, we help young adults aging out of foster care gain education, career skills, and emotional support.

Our mission: to break the cycle of homelessness and unemployment among foster youth, ensuring they enter adulthood with stability and confidence.

Rescuing and Uplifting Women

In partnership with international NGOs and universities, the Foundation helped rescue and relocate 147 Afghan female students during the 2021 crisis — providing education, safety, and new beginnings.

Today, we continue to support refugee women and girls through case management, housing, and long-term education pathways.

When women rise, entire communities rise with them.

Combating Food Insecurity

Hunger shouldn’t define anyone’s story.

We fund programs that bring nutritious meals to families in need — from mobile food trucks serving local neighborhoods to community gardens and school partnerships that make healthy eating accessible to all.

Expanding Global Healthcare Access

Healthcare is a human right.

The Mayo Family Foundation supports hospitals and clinics serving underprivileged communities — from burn units to maternal care programs — ensuring women and children around the world receive lifesaving treatment.
