Through the Mayo Family Foundation, the foundation transforms compassion into action — empowering at-risk youth, advancing women’s rights, and restoring dignity to communities worldwide.
OUR MISSION
At the heart of everything I do is one belief: real change starts with showing up.
Investing in Youth & Community Mental Health
Mental Health Support: Funded the CARE Team in Sierra Vista, delivering critical mental health services to families and individuals in need.
Youth Empowerment: Provided seed funding to launch a Boys &
Girls Club in Douglas, creating a safe and enriching space for the region’s youth.
Bringing Jobs to Douglas
We are hiring up to 100 bilingual call center agents in Douglas in 2025—providing stable, meaningful employment and investing in workforce development.
The Keys to Success program has helped over 900 youth.
Afghan women safely evacuated and enrolled in continuing education programs
Arizona foster youth served through Keys to Success
Meals distributed annually through food initiatives
Most recently, The Mayo Family Foundation led efforts to rescue and evacuate 147 young Afghan women from the grips of the Taliban, and assist in the students’ relocation and case management as refugees in Arizona. We invite you to learn more about the girls’ personal stories and journeys to a new world.
GET INVOLVED
Your support helps expand access to education, healthcare, and opportunity for those who need it most.
The Mayo Family Foundation is proof that compassion can move mountains. Whether through youth programs, global relief efforts, or community development, our purpose remains the same:
Kindness has a way of bringing people together—it inspires compassion, builds stronger connections, and lifts spirits.
VICKI MAYO
Every child deserves a future filled with opportunity.
Through programs like Keys to Success and the Foster Siblings Summer Camp, we help young adults aging out of foster care gain education, career skills, and emotional support.
Our mission: to break the cycle of homelessness and unemployment among foster youth, ensuring they enter adulthood with stability and confidence.
In partnership with international NGOs and universities, the Foundation helped rescue and relocate 147 Afghan female students during the 2021 crisis — providing education, safety, and new beginnings.
Today, we continue to support refugee women and girls through case management, housing, and long-term education pathways.
When women rise, entire communities rise with them.
Hunger shouldn’t define anyone’s story.
We fund programs that bring nutritious meals to families in need — from mobile food trucks serving local neighborhoods to community gardens and school partnerships that make healthy eating accessible to all.
Healthcare is a human right.
The Mayo Family Foundation supports hospitals and clinics serving underprivileged communities — from burn units to maternal care programs — ensuring women and children around the world receive lifesaving treatment.
